I've tsted also with LO Calc, and within it the substitution results are shown as you said.
But, if you stay on the mouse over the checkbox "Show dialog" a tooltip appears, reminding you how to enable the dialog again: Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Calc -> View -> Window -> Summary on search If you untick that checkbox, the dialog is not shown anymore. > Whenever I do a mass find and replace (I select replace all), I get a > display that pops up showing me all the matches that were replaced.
