Re offline help files : yes you can download those from the downloads page of
the LO website. You'll have to select your operating system and language and
then you'll see towards the lower end of the green download panel, another
download link like this
* Help for offline use: English (US) (Torrent, Info)
That is an example for US English - that's why I said first check your os and
then language. Start from this link:
