So, you are a power user on Debian, and you have the RC1 of the next LibreOffice version installed (LibreOffice 6.4.4 will be released tomorrow).
Your Help system, though, is still LibreOffice 6.4.2, but I don't think this might be the source of the problem. LibreOffice 6.4.4 RC2 behaves OK on Linux Mint, and provides the name of the open file which the user wants to rename, and not the name of the first file in the folder. Actually, the behaviour should not change between system and LibreOffice dialogs, so if this happens the culprit might be the user profile. Try to rename it adding -old to the name, to force the creation of a new user profile.
