The software name is LibreOffice. Please avoid using any kind of reference to OpenOffice. To provide a sensible answer, we should know which operating system (including the version) and which version of LibreOffice you are using.
With the last version of LibreOffice on Linux Mint, the behaviour is correct, so it is impossible to reproduce the problem. Best regards.
