Hi For the broker, you have to update the libs and check the configuration files (in the conf folder), but also the bin/activemq script as we added some new system properties. Also, you can see the requirements here: https://activemq.apache.org/components/classic/download/ where you can see the minimum JDK version.
I also suggest updating the ConnectionFactory (client side). The ConnectionFactory broker URL has not really changed for a while, so you should be good there.
