Sure I must have been living in a cave. Sorry for all the trouble Tim. As you mentioned, the producer throttling works out of the box while sending messages in batches. I believe even async sends should be throttled out of the box without bothering about Producer Window Size. This should work well in any version above v5.8.0. I personally tested and found this to be working correctly in the following versions:
- 5.9.0 - 5.10.0 - 5.10.2 - 5.12.0 However, I think the PFC documentation is really confusing and doesn't explain this behaviour.
