There are no clients. The database was copied from a pilot installation to a
fresh ActiveMQ installation for analysis.

But upgrading to 5.9 seems to solve the problem - your hint at JIRA issue
was helpfull.

In version 5.8 most of the logs where removed after a bunch of "unfound
messages" (log shows e. g. "message not found in sequence id index:
ID:KS-110-006-PC01-1543-1379412564726-3:2:395:1:1") were removed.

But 4 logs, the oldest from 2013-09-25 with about 127 MB stayed.

After using version 5.9 another bunch of "recovered in-flight XA
transactions" were discarded and all useless logs disappeared.

Now we have to check if our application works with 5.9.

Thanks!
