I'm sorry; I skimmed the original posting: Brian and William are having different problems - but it still seems worth hooking all issues regarding generating valid HTML related to the html:form tag in one place. I added a note about the 'name' attribute. I haven't thought much yet about deprecation/compatibility strategies.
