Hi Maxim,

I had a look at the actual math support.

Seems to work so far and I think handling is easy and just need a short introduction. Math people will be happy I think...

I noticed one thing... User without wb right can move the math-object by clicking on it with their pointer. Just on there wb, but I think this shouldn't be possible.

Greetings Peter

Hello Sylvain,

What version have you tested?
Latest version (not sure if it on demo already) should work as follows:

* in case formula is not typed "formula dialog" will be displayed and textarea will be highlighted * in case there was error in formula, formula will not be rendered and error will be highlited * in case existent formula is clicked (while math editor is active) textarea will be updated with TeX representation
* formula can be edited and updated using "update" button
* in case WB will be clicked instead of "update" new formula will be created

I found this both simple and useful
I will be glad to hear your ideas on how this can be improved

WBR, Maxim
(from mobile, sorry for the typos)

    Hello,

I just tested this great feature. I think it's not easy to use,
not really understandable when first used.

is it possible to have the same behavior as the "Text Block"? When
you click to edit, display the Latex code. And after validating
the edition, display the compilation image.

Merry Christmas and happy new year

    Another update :)

I have math support is almost fully implemented (only formula
edit is not working right now)
I would appreciate if you can check this functionality

I just have updated "demo-next" with the fresh build

        OK,

latest nightly OM 4.0.2 will render following TeX formula on
        WB click:

        f(a) = \\frac{1}{2\\pi i} \\oint\\frac{f(z)}{z-a}dz;   \\sqrt{x}

formula editor will be added a little bit later
Initial version will accept formulas in TeX format

later on we might think of adding some UI editor (not sure if
        it is possible ....
        Should be investigated.
        Size also matters (c) :)))

As user selects text tool from tool box, we can

                Hi,

I forwarded the original e-mail to one of our
"math-people". Unfortunately no response till now...

I think, by now we have all whiteboard-options on the
whiteboard, and this one should also go there.

I would suggest about something like this...

I don't have any background to judge which of the
math editors is best. But I will take a look. It
would be good if someone who has used these
before could give us their opinion. I have seen
Latex in the past, but that's the only one I've
                    used.

I would like to add math formula support
to our new beautiful WB :)
                            Here are some examples:
                            https://www.mathjax.org/#samples

This can hopefully can be integrated
                            The questions are:

                            1) do you feel it would be useful feature?
                            2) where to put control?
                            3) what Math format should used for
                            formula editing?
