Sorry I may be forgetting something about this thread, but AFAIK the results from cassandra (the thrift API) are sorted. Maybe there was a client in between that did not preserve the sorting (I forget which thread that was). (I'm pretty sure my unit tests would have blown up by now if they're not, but you never know...) -- / Peter Schuller
