This is great. In case it is helpful, here is more information about what we have done for DataFusion:
We held most of them in spaces that we didn't pay for. We rented an office from WeWork for the first one in Austin, but otherwise the space was donated. We have used: 1. company's offices (e.g. Starburst in Boston, Microsoft in Serbia, or Xomnia in Amsterdam). 2. Local startup incubator (1871 in Chicago). We found these spaces via personal connections from people based in those locations. For example, I knew the Starburst founders, Marko knew the head of MSFT Serbia's offices, and Adrian got 1871 to donate the space. Can't wait to see what is organized!
