Hi All,

following up the Mr Brendan question i tried follow the steps at the
uml page to make the gui works. I install the Icewm window manager
using xnest. The goal was to use graphic ethereal for frame capture.
The result get was very slow, sometimes freezing the xwindows/xnest
window.

Does anyone experience that kind the result with xnest + window manager ?
In your case, the result get was acceptable ?

My host is a Athlon xp 2800+ , 1 GB Ram, Ubuntu 7.10
My uml is kernel 2.6.21.4 + debian 3.1 filesystem.

I am making a network simulator and the students always ask about gui.

I beg your pardon for my poor english.
I hope make myself clear.

Thanks for any help.

Regards.
Ernani
