Hello Martin, skas3 patch is _only_ for host kernels. uml patch is _only_ for guest kernels.
Let me give you an example: your host kernel is the kernel you boot every time you turn on your PC and Linux starts. It should be patched with the SKAS3 patch. your guest kernel is the other one, i.e. the user mode executable Linux kernel (the UML kernel) that should be patched, for many reasons as well as for the guest kernel, with the guest kernel patches, also called "uml-uml-patch-version.bz2". OK? I hope I was clear and feel free to ask more questions. ;-) Flavio Master Student at Department of Computer Science Dipartimento di Informatica e Sistemistica (DIS) Università degli studi di Roma - "La Sapienza" http://www.vdd-project.org http://www.dis.uniroma1.it/ On 05/01/2008, Martin Paraskevov <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Just to make sure I understand, the patch posted above is for kernel 2.6.23 > and > it is a host patch, right.
