What were you using the instances for? Were they just created to test
the number you could make, if so, are you sure that OpenVZ uses less
memory when executing tasks? Did you only test this on your machine?

In what way? Everything has its purposes.

I'm not sure. It really depends what you're doing with it.

UML has its pluses compared to openVZ, like, if you timed how long it
took to setup your first UML VPS, then your first openVZ VPS, UML will
win hands down.
