Dear List,

I spent the whole day yesterday trying to compile a humfs-capable 2.6 UML
kernel, and failed. I'm getting pretty desesperate. Would somebody
please provide a source tarball that works?

Tried to apply http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/old/patches.html
on top of a pristine 2.6.22, using quilt or not: no joy. The kernel
won't boot; see details at
http://kilimandjaro.dyndns.org/~dom/uml/boot-failed-humfs.log (note
that using the very same image and command line on a different kernel
works like a charm)

Tried a dichotomy on the quilt patches, results at
http://kilimandjaro.dyndns.org/~dom/uml/dichotomy ; executive summary:
I couldn't get a single version to boot except the pristine 2.6.22.

Tried to transplant the fs/externfs code onto a fresh 2.6.22 and
2.6.23, but I got lost in the details as neither of them offers the
appropriate aio groundwork for humfs.c to compile without errors.

Any help really, really appreciated.
