Looking into the patch breakout, then for me at least the problem
patches are both in:
tls/x86-64-support.diff

Like you I am hoping to run this kernel on a 64 bit machine, so this
patch may be important.

I also see there is
http://user-mode-linux.sourceforge.net/work/current/2.6/2.6.18/
It has been so long since I updated my uml kernels (my current kernel
is 2.6.7), I am wondering now which patches I should be applying?

Any thoughts?
