Check out uml.nagafix.co.uk.  Everything you need should be
there.  Beware, though, that not all the guest kernels
hosted on that site work.  The only configuration I have
been able to get working is x86 host kernel with
2.6.16.29-bs2 32 bit guest, and either my own debootstrapped
image or the ubuntu one there (I haven't tried all combos,
however).

64 bit seems to be pretty broken at this time, at least
compared to how easy it can be to get 32 bit running.  I
haven't been able to do it.  Let me know if you have any
other questions about ubuntu hosts with ubuntu guests on x86
32 bit.  I should be able to walk you through it.
