Hi there,

I'm quite new to UML and I'm trying to setup a 3-instance machine on a small
single cpu pc.

Everything went fine so far, Kernels seem to be okay, but when the UML
client instance starts, the server boots until it gets stuck after showing
that the cron.d ist started. (I guess this is the last startup item and the
same problem with devfs etc a few days ago).

Please excuse my dumb mind, but I don't get the cause of this. I tried the
original devfs on this sarge machine and I changed to udev, but none of them
worked.

Can someone provide me with a working file system for a debian sarge host
with 2.16.13 kernel using devfs or (!) udev accompanied by some hints about
the setup of securetty, inittab and fstab?

Is there a debian howto or a general howto for user mode linux and its setup
that does provide information for the 2.6 kernels and file images newer than
the redhat 7 stuff out there? (No offense, but the UML community is a bit
'decentralized' if you know what I mean :( )

Regards
Karl
