Hi,

I did some more tests to see when this happens. I downloaded the
precompiled kernel from
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/user-mode-linux/linux-2.4.19-5.bz2 and
a filesystem from
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/user-mode-linux/root_fs_slack8.1.bz2

When I issue the command:
 ./linux-2.4.19-5 ubd0=root_fs_slack8.1 con0=tty:/dev/ptyp0
con1=tty:/dev/ptyp1 con2=tty:/dev/ptyp2 &
I have the same problem; e.g. I cannot login to tty0 the 2nd/3rd time.

minicom -o -p /dev/ttyp0
*Login prompt*
login
logout
exit minicom
minicom -o -p /dev/ttyp0
*Nothing*

I use debian3.1 (Sarge) as host system (host kernel has not been patched).

Can someone reproduce this? I tried several kernels and root filesystems
but they all seem to have it.

Thanks,
Rene
