Hi- I think your issue is that you have targetTreeRootPath (link field) and rootPath (content connector) set to the same value. If you have rootPath set then you don't need targetTreeRootPath unless you wanted to point somewhere deeper in the hierarchy. Could you try that?
If not that, then I am also suspicious of using info.magnolia.dam.app.assets.field.translator.AssetCompositeIdKeyTranslator as the identifierToPathConverter. Maybe try back-off that configiration as well.
