Inplace-templating has no effect on 5.4, template scripts are migrated to the 'resources' workspace, where they are seen and served by the new resource loading cascade, in 5.4. The 'inplace-templating' workspace is ignored afaik. Also, templates don't have to be installed/bypassed anymore to be visible on the classpath (or even on the file-system).
The place to view (and edit) those template scripts is now the "Resource files" app, under the web dev app-launcher group.
