We have magnolia-module-inplace-templating:2.4.2 in our Magnolia 5.4.5 based
project, so you can use it with Magnolia 5.4.

If you want to see if a module is in a Magnolia 5.4.x distribution you can for
instance download the bundle and check the WEB-INF/lib directory.

By the way, we use the bundle-parent POM (magnolia-enterprise-bundle-parent in
our case) with import scope in our Maven project, so we can depend on Magnolia
modules without having to specify a version, which is really easy.
