Hi Xena, You can't remove the "jcr:" part because DAM download servlet will not handle the link properly. However you can build a link with the node path instead of the node identifier, ie /dam/jcr/foo/bar/lol.pdf and in that case you can even remove the "/jcr" part because it's handled as default behavior.

When it comes to the download link ... not sure whether you can build a download link out of the box which is using the path instead of the identifier.
