Hah - never saw that one. I noted the PHPCR thing when I came out, but since I 
have a PHP allergy, I didn't look into it.
Seems like I duplicated your effort there.

My version also supports RMI access and is adapted to Magnolia 5 / current 
Jackrabbit.

I need to look at it more closely. I assume your version has the same troubles 
with JCR shutdown?
