I get the same problem here with Yosemite and LC 7.0.2. Works OK with 7.0.1.
Ray, you can vary the playback speed by setting the playRate property of the player. A value of 1 is normal speed, 0.5 is half speed, etc. As long as you're not using LC 7 of course since it won't play anything right now.
