I don’t know the character “7637”.
But i thought you wanted to write like this.

on mouseUp
   if char 2 of fld 1 is numToCodepoint(12356) then
      put numToCodepoint(12354) into char 2 of fld 1
   end if
end mouseUp

the script changes “あいうえお” to “ああうえい”.
