I've been using the chromebook I got at google IO since spring of 2011. If
you live in cloud based apps (google docs, email, other web apps) it's
awesome. Terrific battery life. Wakes up and sleeps instantly. If you live
in desktop apps or you find yourself without a good internet connection, it
is pretty useless.

I will likely upgrade my Google IO freebee to a new chromebook soon.
