Most users who are capable of doing it wouldn't even want Apple support. Currently, it is supported by like-minded geeks who just love to tinker. It's a community much like the Linux crowd. There have even been Ethernet drivers ported from Linux to help out systems that were "almost" fully compatible. Again, there are recipes for systems to "just work", primarily just following Apples lead.
