Yeah, I'm not by any means saying FileMaker is perfect. It has limitations I can't stand as well. Every environment I know does. I wish LC also had J's unlimited ability to handle arrays, and reversible functions, and several other features.
I also wish -- desperately -- that LC had LISP's macros. It would be so awesome to be able to define new syntax. First class functions are a good idea as well.
