Jonathan, I find it hard to believe that the not-readable text is a reason for the panel to be opaque and not transparent and chameleonic - the launcher itself is transparent and chameleonic and it has those tiny arrows, yet they are still visible, not to mention that the Dash itself is also T&S and it has _a lot_ of text it it :) If (panel) text is not readable when the Panel is T&S (and of course the blurred too), than it is the chemaleonic thing-y that needs fixing, rather than keeping the panel looking totally different from the launcher :)
