Hi, A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon an article about Locally Integrated Menus, which I liked better than the Global Menu. ( http://www.webupd8.org/2012/02/new-locally-integrated-menubar-might.html )
Also, I was not totally convinced with the HUD, because I think it's less effective for menu exploration. But I definitely thought that being able to search the menus was a great idea. So I made a mockup bringing us the best of both worlds! Feel free to comment!
