My first suggestion would be to install a fresh Ubuntu GNOME daily build and
see if you have the same problem.

Hello!
I am running the Gnome Trusty Thar and the Gnome interface frequently freezes.
I can access the other tty consoles through the keyboard shortcut but I
couldn't find the process that freezes. Tried to kill gnome-shell but the tty7
doesn't unfreeze.
How can I diagnose it?
