Well, I can't say my boot has slowed down. My last boots were about 8 seconds (with 'my' gdm fix, attached bootchart[1]) so it would seems that any slowness will not be attributable to nvidia init timing. However, if you were to tell me that your boot time used to be _less_ than that ... I'm all ears ! I'm spoiled either way! [1] I attach an older one too for comparison; the comparison is not completely fair because I've since loaded my workstation with apache2 mod-mono for my summer tech workshop :) this, and perhaps a few other 'gadgets' may have slowed down the boot a tiny bit. ** Attachment added: "bootcharts.zip" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/625239/+attachment/1585132/+files/bootcharts.zip -- X starts on wrong tty because gdm starts before nvidia driver is ready https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/625239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
