Upgraded from 8.04 to 10.04, and had the screensaver crash when using GL screensavers. A quick click before the preview screensaver runs to select a non GL screensaver stopped the crashes. The crash may be related to the bonobo-activation server crash because of a missing bonono socket in /tmp, an error message I also saw on my system after a crash.
