I wish I had known about the problem with 10.04 & the i855 chipset
before I ran the 'upgrade'. It sure would have been nice if anyone took
the time to include it in the "known issues". I read it with great
interest and then went on to BRICK my d400.
Oh great, so it's back to 9.10 for 6 months until this WELL KNOWN BUG is
fixed (or not). How is open source software ever going to move into the
mainstream with this kind of BS? Wouldn't it make more sense to warn
people about this "BUG" (more like a bricker) than have them see that
open source is not ready for prime time and run back to Microsoft and
Apple?
