You have been subscribed to a public bug: There is NO OTHER way to report this bug in Lucid Lynx. Using the Live image (2010, April 5th).
I was lucky enough to see Lucid Lynx desktop AND move/click my mouse. When I clicked "Try ubuntu" the system froze and after a couple of minutes I saw the console with massive errors being reported: [327.9XXXXX] [drm] nouveau 0000:01:00.0: AIII, invalid/inactive channel nouveau id 32. This is the first Ubuntu system that I am completely unable to launch and therefore it's almost impossible to report bugs... There should be an option to select which driver to run (VESA, NV and maybe at the end of the list Nouveau) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 CheckboxSubmission: cd2f25406392da1a8e2b14649fd32386 CheckboxSystem: daed2f3d6643b4a84b4520a2427f8c2b Date: Mon Apr 5 06:30:55 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/yelp InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: yelp 2.28.0-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-20.58-generic SourcePackage: yelp Uname: Linux 2.6.31-20-generic x86_64 ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- AIII, invalid/inactive channel nouveau id 32 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/555515 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
