I have Karmic running on an old Compaq Evo N160. The notifications on
the system appear black, with specks of the undelying window or desktop
showing (please see attached screenshot).
I'm guessing this has something to do with my graphics card not handling
transparency correctly. The graphics are handled by a ATI Mobility
Radeon M6-P.
