I've tried the instruction to apply the patch in 9.10 and it corrects the problems with unminimizing but i cannot still use it because without disabling compiz i cannot reproduce avi's.
When i open an avi with totem, it runs a little slow in a window, but when i try to put in full screen, it runs very slow (half frames are dropped). When i open an avi with vlc, image is good, but the sound is pretty bad. If if try to go full screen, it gets worse. All these problems dissapear disabling visual effects.
