Thanks for your reflection. You are of course right that there are some problems to overcome, and that the conversation part is one of them. I don't imagine that any solutions are going to be immediately apparent, which is why I hope that someone will start thinking about it sooner rather than later.
Whether it's by introducing some random UUID based global OpenBugID to easily cross-reference reports and open up for inter-tracker conversations between cooperating bug tracker systems or some other solution, I don't know, but it seems a bit early to dismiss the possibility solely on the grounds that a conversation is needed. You have a point that it's a good idea to use this place as a funnel to redirect reports to their proper home. However, designing the process in that way, so that it will likely involve more than one tracker, sounds like even more of a reason to start thinking about a protocol for deep inter-tracker cooperation. I think it's in my and every other reporter's interest, as well as yours in order to minimize discouragement, so I feel some responsibility to at least mention it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libinput in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1910158 Title: Macbook Air (2012) trackpad stops tracking when finger contact area increases moderately To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libinput/+bug/1910158/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
