The main problem is that upstream bug trackers (like all bug trackers) really need the reporter of a bug to be someone who experiences it. Because the process of fixing a bug is usually a two-way conversation.
There are so many different models of hardware in the the world that in all likelihood the developers of a project won't have the same hardware as you. So they need your direct involvement. Also, starting with an Ubuntu bug still makes a lot of sense. Because a large number of Ubuntu bugs are initially reported against the wrong component. Reassigning them to the right component is easiest to do in Launchpad. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libinput in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1910158 Title: Macbook Air (2012) trackpad stops tracking when finger contact area increases moderately To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libinput/+bug/1910158/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
