Judging from the thread, it's marked as won't fix because it is not a single bug we're all complaining about, but a complex interaction of several bugs. Many people are complaining about completely different symptoms, all with a freeze, but even the character of the freeze is different from case to case. I have marked this bug as not affecting me and filed a bug report detailing my exact symptoms. Might be time for others to do the same.
