Re #713 I tried your fix too, but with no luck. Crashed again several times today.
This time I could make note of the time and find the log entries. Then it crashed. I'm new at linux but able to follow instructions... what other information would be helpful? I've been researching this bug for weeks to no avail. I've only been using ubuntu since 12.04, and this is the second laptop I've been running it on, but the problem was not there when I first started using it. Just in the last, I dunno, 6 weeks.
