For those with dedicated Nvidia GC's, Nvidia has apparently fixed their drivers. I couldn't use them previously due to lack of multiple monitor support but they now work, which solved the constant hard freezes for me instantly. I've been pushing it running videos on both screens while recording hd video from my webcam without a single problem. It's looking like Nouveau has the issue ?
