Hi Don Its good to hear you are up and running. I should have mentioned in my previous post that although you have locked the driver from updating in synaptic and update manager. Be careful if you are doing updates through terminal "apt-get" as this does not recognise the lock in synaptic and will bypass it and you will end up with the 295.40 driver again. At least we have a system that is now running smoothly with no crashes or freezes. Cheers
