Hello I'm a friend of Ghislain Bugnicourt,
and after a few tests here is what we understood :

While reading BootDmesg.txt

[ 8.246609] [drm:init_ring_common] *ERROR* failed to set render ring head to
zero ctl ffffffff head ffffffff tail ffffffff start ffffffff
[ 8.246624] [drm:init_ring_common] *ERROR* render ring initialization failed
ctl ffffffff head ffffffff tail ffffffff start ffffffff
[ 8.246736] [drm:i915_driver_load] *ERROR* failed to init modeset
[ 8.285242] i915 0000:00:02.0: PCI INT A disabled
[ 8.285266] i915: probe of 0000:00:02.0 failed with error -5

it seems to me that :
- i915 fails to load with KMS (Kernel Mode Setting), but somehow i915 is not
unloaded
- so for Xorg the "intel" driver does not work, it fallbacks to "vesa"

If modesetting is the culprit why not deactivate it ?
- the workaround to deactivate the modesetting through the start option
i915.modeset=0, removes the errors in dmesg
- But since recent Xorg requires modesetting, Xorg then fails to start

I think is that:
- the bug is either related to the BIOS or drm or i915
- at this point we should make a bug report on freedesktop
  ( http://intellinuxgraphics.org/how_to_report_bug.html )

FYI: similar bug on bugzilla https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=727455
PS: the kernel module "intelfb" does work.
