Just taking a superficial look, the bug is still in the input event stack, and happens in an area of the code that may be difficult to patch.
There are some Ubuntu-authored patches in the input stack for utouch and the touch framework which might be involved in some fashion here, although it's hard for me to be certain just judging these crash dumps. I've prepared a PPA that have the multitouch patches switched off for you to test. These will help isolate whether the bug is in the ubuntu MT patches or might be something upstream. Please install this PPA and test it, and report here if you can or can't get it to crash after that: https://launchpad.net/~bryce/+archive/melon If it still crashes, the next step would be for you to uninstall that PPA (use ppa-purge) and then install xorg-edgers and try reproducing on that. If it *still* crashes, then the bug should be forwarded upstream at that point. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/764700 Title: Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in utouch_frame_sync() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/764700/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
