I've created a PPA with a patched package so it'll be easier for you to test:
https://launchpad.net/~bryce/+archive/kiwi Install that, restart X, and try reproducing the bug. This null ptr check is just papering over the issue so you may still see it crash some other way, or else have odd misbehaviors. You mentioned it crashes with different backtraces sometimes. It would be instructive to see those other backtraces; they may give extra context to where in the stack the bug is coming from. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/764700 Title: Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in utouch_frame_sync() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/764700/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
