This bug happens on my system as well. Everything worked fine in 10.10, and now the system freezes after 5-10 seconds when I log into a window manager that uses compositing (kwin, compiz, ...). Rebooting is the only option.
Using xorg-edgers doesn't solve the problem. Disabling ACPI doesn't solve the problem. There are no newer nVidia drivers available at the time of writing. Every 3D application I have tried so far works fine, from glxgears to the Phoronix test suite benchmarks. I am using an nVidia 560 Ti card. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/769911 Title: System freeze after login in 11.04 _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
