Hi all, I believe this problema really has something to do about firefox. I'm using Fedora 11, and I have the exact same problem. All freezes, but the mouse pointer. Some research, and I found about xul problems, so I tried this way. At the Fedora, I installed some packages like xulrunner-devel and xulrunner-devel-unstable... but I had still a problem, then I installed xulrunner-python and xulrunner-python-devel. I THINK this solved the problem. I'm looking for this package on ubuntu to tell you guys what is the similar, but I can't find it, however I hope this get you a clue about what to do on ubuntu. On my Fedora 11, Firefox is working for some time with no freezing. So glad :)
So, again, try to find something about xul and python and please, let me know if it works on Ubuntu too.
