I wonder if there's something about the most recent Ubuntu communication with wireless routers that has changed, as I have issues with my wife's D-Link that she was sent by Talk Talk.
It is absolutely fine on Windows, but on Ubuntu (10.10) it is virtually impossible to use the wireless, because it keeps dropping out every minute or two. The other thing that it does is "lose contact" with the router. It is still (technically) "connected" [or at least the bar says so] but you can't ping it... like the route has disappeared, yet "netstat -nr" doesn't show anything changed. This never used to happen on the previous version of Ubuntu, as far as I am aware. Which makes me think that it's something in 10.10 that's created the issue. Sean
